Despite improvement by airlines in areas such as on-time arrivals and baggage handling last year, passenger complaints increased by roughly 20 percent, according to an annual study of industry performance. Headley told the Los Angeles Times that while passenger complaints were high, they ultimately would not affect the industry’s bottom line.
