Since late 2023, weve been talking with community members about how, together, we could make KansasCity a national model for equitable economic mobility. We held live webinars and community office hours where applicants could ask questions.
The American Association of University Women is expanding its AAUW Work Smart program to KansasCity. Its goal: Close the gender pay gap by training 1 million women across Kansas and Missouri in salary and benefits negotiation. The gender pay gap in both states highlights the needs for such a program.
As a remedy, the communications team looked for a way to connect people within – and across – businesses. The goal: strengthen communications, create a shared culture, and invigorate employees around a shared mission through an intranet.
