Traditional budgeting and forecasting methods can no longer keep pace with today’s rapidly evolving business environment. Static budgets, rigid annual forecasts, and outdated financial models limit an organization’s ability to adapt to market shifts and economic uncertainty. To stay ahead, finance leaders must leverage a future-forward approach—one that leverages real-time data, predictive analytics, and continuous planning to drive smarter financial decisions.
Can positive association disruption reverse the fortunes for industry professionals and an organization? In a weak economic growth environment, it’s a daunting task. I recently read an interesting report, Leading Engagement from the Outside In, from US based membership consultants Anna Caraveli and Elizabeth Weaver Engel, which offers an alternative view to traditional member engagement activities and metrics when considering levels of member engagement with an organisation. As some of you may know, I launched my career in nonprofit. I quickly learned that nonprofits play a crucial role in just about every industry. Perhaps more than anything else, good leadership molds a successful nonprofit.
When you host a golf tournament for different skill levels it’s important for you include activities that fit everyone in attendance. Your community is a platform for your members to voice so many ideas … but not some. Math just isn’t my forte. Maybe it’s because I work with words every day or maybe it’s just because I don’t get it. It’s fascinating to me how brains are wired so differently. Take my three children: the boys are math and sciences whizzes and my daughter is a singer and artist. So just what makes us tick? There are millions of resources about cognitive science so it’s easy to suffer from information overload.
