This year I facilitated several labs, including several for the Knight Foundation Arts Program to learn about the local arts ecosystem in four cities, including Philadelphia, SanJose, Charlotte, and Macon. When I look back on 2016, it was a very rich and productive year. And, I expect no less in 2017. What about you?
In 2021, I was honored and very surprised to be awarded the NTEN Nonprofit Technology Lifetime Achievement Award. Giving Circle : I helped co-found and am co-leading the SanJose Business Women for Good Giving Circle. I finished my last board meeting in early 2022. Writing : I’ve been writing Beth’s blog since 2004.
“Most people don’t know their neighbors,” Nextdoor cofounder Sarah Leary noted in an interview with the SanJose Mercury News. “For us, it’s really about using technology from socialmedia, but applying it to the concept of really bringing back that sense of community to the neighborhood.”
Overall, socialmedia posts reflect that members were happy to have a chance to check in with peers and appreciated the work ASAE put into the conference.
