Here’s what we know : Recent data shows associations are increasingly struggling to engage young professionals, effectively utilize technology to cut through the clutter, and clearly communicate membership value. Make it simple for your members to connect (on their terms) while providing a cohesive memberexperience.
The pandemic had uneven effects: some associations enjoyed increased memberengagement while others have been deeply challenged. Your members’ goals and challenges are shifting rapidly. They’ve almost certainly changed dramatically from what they were in 2019.
While the way you align your proposed member community with your executives’ goals will vary by association, five of the most common priorities you might find in the strategic plan include new member acquisition, memberengagement and retention, non-dues revenue growth, advocacy and legislation, and maintaining relevance.
