Now, if they had extra content or some new technology to offer that piggybacks off what your association created, I would try to license it or purchase it from the member and launch it under the associations umbrella. You wouldnt let your competing association do it, so why a member?
I was looking forward to having a great birthday on Tuesday, and then leaving on Wednesday to catch up with many great friends within ASAE and Young Association Professionals (YAP), while learning the newest things I needed to know to take my association to the next level of social technology. shouldn’t be under snow yet.
Since the unconference was named EventCamp East Coast, I expected participants to be from DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York. We had participants with extensive conference and event experience, but we also had many from associations and non-profits, developers of technology, journalists, etc. I was impressed by two items: 1).
