In their book When Millennials Take Over , Jamie Notter and Maddie Grant devote a chapter on the importance of organizations to have a digital mindset. Going digital is not just a strategy to reach millennials, it is a strategy to connect with all age groups. And, the company doubled the size of its technology/digital staff.
I was sitting down with reporters in New York to debrief them on the power of philanthropy and millennials. I talked with him about the incredible work by millennials in Detroit who are fed up with the current economic situation and are building sustainable business models to reinvent neighborhoods.

Rockford, the smallest city on the list, topped the charts on the speed front; Oklahoma City had the most reliable connections.
In a Sunday panel at the ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition in Detroit, Geary noted that he respects the value of technology but said he has become less knowledgeable about tech as he gets older, relying on his younger staffers to keep him abreast of important trends and stepping in when he needs to get a stronger handle on a given issue. .
