That’s why NIGP, the Institute for Public Procurement, set up a virtual chapter to connect members far away from each other in Alaska and Hawaii. I talked with a couple of people from Alaska and found out they had many of the same issues we experienced in Hawaii. For Hawaii, it’s island to island. AHGPA has 77 members.

This summer saw some of the worst wildfires in California history, the Mount Kilauea eruption in Hawaii, and other tropical storms—all requiring the same around-the-clock care. The theme of this year’s APhA campaign, “Easy to Reach and Ready to Help,” aims to educate the public on just that, according to a press release.
