However, the summertime is a great time to evaluate your current learning management system and the training courses your organization offers.

Being a community manager is extraordinary and exhausting. You get to connect and create, but you’re also drowning in information. Comments, requests, questions, emails. Notifications whooshing around at 90mph, all day. KPI’s and ROI. Everyone demanding attention, needing you to listen, to fix, to respond, to cajole, to soothe, to champion. Some days it’s total overload.

AirBNB is more than just a company -- it’s a community of hosts and travelers from around the world who meet each other online and, somehow, trust each other enough to meet up in real life. Employee recognition has often been deemed a "feel-good" initiative, tied closely to rewards. While we understand its importance, we tend to associate recognition with intangible outcomes like engagement and sentiment, rather than direct impacts on retention and high performance. In today’s workplace, the true ROI of recognition lies in its ability to regenerate tangible, business-driven results.

Association members are like business customers, they come to your organization for help. They want to solve a problem, to learn, to grow in their industry, or to find ways to contribute to a cause. And, similar to a business, that’s what your association is built to do – help members by providing benefits.

The difference between effective, efficient writers and the rest is a matter of habit. The effective writers regularly and consistently do things that other writers only do sporadically. That’s why they get so much done. Having written millions of words for business since 1982, I’ve got some of those habits figured out. Do these things – and do them consistently – and the quality of your writing projects will increase, even as you produce them more time-efficiently.
