In response to a controversial plan to introduce tolls for trucks, the Rhode Island Trucking Association didn’t get frustrated by the idea; instead, the group offered up a plan of its own that avoids relying on tolls entirely. The industry that would have to pick up the bill, however, is not so sure.

Following a new discussion draft being released on the District of Columbia’s proposed Universal Paid Leave Act, ASAE testified before the DC Council saying the revised bill would still create problems for association employers and employees in the city.

The Ecological Society of America also offers field trips at its annual meeting, even asking members to submit formal field trip proposals through an online form. Then there’s the National Marine Educators’ Association , which has 10 field trips lined up for its 2015 conference, taking place this summer in Newport, Rhode Island.
